Blogging and jogging

We’re back on the blog after a quiet and leisurely summer. Facebook has unintentionally become our communication method of choice – when it comes to run notifications, but we’ll still use the blog for ‘irregular’ communication.

There’s lots of events coming up, the Hanoi Vertical Run being one of the most exciting – have you signed up yet? Red River Runners will be there, why not join our team?! We are hoping to get Red River Runner t-shirts in the near future, and this amazing event would be a perfect place to debut them!

Nothing has been confirmed as yet, but we hope that Song Hong 2013 half marathon will take place again in December, we will keep you informed.

This week we will have speed training on Wednesday night (tonight), meeting 7pm outside Syrena Centre. The weather forecast isn’t looking good, but unless there is serious winds or lightning, we will be there!

On Saturday 10th, we will meet at JAFA restaurant, G2-G3 Towers, Ciputra for our usual social run. This tends to be a 10km-12km ramble on the streets or cross country – depending on the weather and ground conditions. We can work out a shorter route for those who aren’t up for 10km. As always, all runners, old and new, young and old are welcome!

Hi, anyone here training in the ultra direction? I’m a newbee and my current range is only 25-30K. I love those mountain runs in the scenic northwest but can’t go alone. Anyone here interested or have similar plans to run up there? Cheers.
