INSPIRE RUN is organized by Hanoi Hash House Harriers & Harriettes in order to raise public awareness about the need of people with disabilities to integrate into community and also to fundraise for INSPIRE Sports program by East Meets West implemented in Quang Tri – a program that uses sports to empower people with disabilities with better health, self-confidence and social integration (see the donation proposal attached for more information of the event’s cause). This event is also an opportunity to enable those interested in INSPIRE Sports Photo Contest organized by the British Embassy and East Meets West (from July 27 to October 8, 2012) to have more impressive photos and participate in the contest.

Location: Co Loa Citadel, Dong Anh District, Hanoi
There will be bus service to pick up runners at the American Club, 21 Hai Ba Trung street, at 13:30 on the day.
Fee: 250,000 VND (including bus fee, T-shirt & hat, water and other organizational fees, but not including dinner). Free for people with disabilities.
Last day of sign-up was 15th September, but if you email firstname.lastname@example.org with details like name, contact number, T-shirt size (XS, S,M, L, XL, XXL?) ASAP, you might still make it!
Part of the participation fee will be used to raise funds for INSPIRE Sports program. All funds raised from this event will be used to buy sports equipments for inclusive sports clubs of people with disabilities in Quang Tri, with an aim to encourage and enable disabled people to practice sports more regularly.
Joining the run are also paralympians from Hanoi and people with disabilities able to use wheelchair.
The course compiles of 10 km running and 5 km jogging in total. And it is estimated that there will be 100 runners on the day.
